I found out yesterday that William Elliott Whitmore was performing at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach. What a great way to end this FULL weekend of studying. Just as his website states (in his bio ... ) - he flew solo on this tour, throwing back whiskey and connecting deeply with the crowd.

We hung out outside Sainte Rocke after the show ... He was sharing a joint with his friends. He offered, I declined - but asked for a picture. We talked about Danielle - who signed him to her record label many years ago (Southern Records). He said "Danielle took a chance on me. Without her, who knows where I'd be ... ".

Ya, William - we need to take a chance on life. Dive in head first and LIVE passionately. You have done that - Thank you.

Michael Franti at The Wiltern

Michael Franti & Spearhead and Cherine Anderson rocked The Wiltern on Saturday, October 1oth. And in Michael style he mixed with his fans during and after the show. It felt good putting my arms around a man I have watched grow up ... Who I marched along side in protests held in San Francisco. Attended Power to the Peaceful Festival (before 9/11/01) in Dolores Park, San Francisco. Michael is real. Full of passion. Keepin it real 100% - all the time. Cherine Anderson helps him to bring his game to a while other level. What a pleasure to see them all performing again - one more time this year. Music is life. Namaste, nora

living life (or dying)

... work called and I never got to Abbot Kinney Street Fair or the movies after a day of studying!

Self sabotage - thats what my clients know how to do. Not giving themselves a chance to LIVE, after years of being locked down. A system we created, and they are trying to figure the maze of how to get out of it; but dont know how. They are not monsters. They are beautiful men who do not know how to live ... because no one showed them how, and by the time they reached "manhood" they were locked up and beaten down by the system. Still little boys, in a mans body. They learned to survive. Not thrive. Survive. You wouldn't believe the course of todays events at the facility. I'm still digesting it all.

I really need a walk now, and be held. - .... Mindfully walk, and eat dinner.

Sparks won second game, but lost third

What a season for the Los Angeles Sparks ... I love my basketball. Anything can happen, and did. Sparks came back and were on fire in the second Western Conference Game. The next game - they scrambled, faltered and never recovered. Phoenix will play Indiana in the WNBA Finals. Should be good baskeball watching. !!!

What a game! Sparks lose first game -

Los Angeles Sparks lost Game One of WNBA Western Finals (103-94). Up until just over a minute they were still in it close - only down by two points. Great game though. Its the final four teams ... the best of the best. And that's what we saw tonight. Taurasi needed to foul out earlier in the 4th quarter - but other than that ... not much else Sparks could have done (except maybe better coaching). And where was Harrower tonight? She's in starting five. Bobbitt played a couple minutes ... Uh, why?

Taurasi has been a women's bball house hold name since her four dynamic years at UConn, and her athleticism has only built during her years with Phoenix. She is a joy to watch ... so smooth and in control. Her shots are all net, no rim. Remarkable, phenomenal female athlete. She's absolutely ridiculous. !!!!

Sparks had three players in double figures. Parker (28pts) and Thomas (25pts) played their heart out ... Parker is so sweet to watch. Another ridiculous athlete; who is so young and has so many more years of professional bball for us to enjoy. Her offensive and defensive boards were incredible. Thompson's 3 pointers. We knew it was gonna be "a season" when Thompson left Houston for Lisa's final season. Leslie getting tore up in the paint, but still pushing til her last game. As they all have the entire season. It was fun watching Parker's husband on the sidelines holding their 5 month old baby. ... Sparks played at home, but they were not at their home. Britney Spears doing her thang at The Staples Center. ... So, off to Phoenix. We can win two in a row. !!! Someone has to win (and someone has to lose).
